Project Management
This project is managed by Mark Fuerst and Richard Tait. Both of them work closely with the Integrated Media Association (IMA)–but this is not an IMA Project. Instead the project is managed by Innovation4Media Mark’s consulting company.
Mark is a co-founder of IMA, which has become the most influential new media advisory group in public broadcasting, with membership and support from networks and stations in both radio and TV.
Mark has first-hand experience with developing service innovations: he played a major role in developing the AAA music format at WXPN and served as executive producer of The World Cafe for eight years. He managed a number of service development projects for the CPB Future Fund including the Leaders’ Partnership (major gifts),Brilliant on the Basics (core membership practices), New Basics (email marketing) and the M*STAR Project which led directly to the development of FolkAlley.com.
Richard Tait has a long and successful track record as an innovation and organizational consultant to both industry and public broadcasting. In particular he was a founding member and Innovation Manager of DuPont's Center for Creativity and Innovation and was a co-founder and leader of the Institute for Inventive Thinking for the National Inventor's Hall of Fame. He has helped a number of public broadcasting stations - including WXPN, WKSU and WUSF among others - develop an array of innovative concepts for exploiting the new media and has spoken on innovation at the Public Media Conference. In addition he helped lead a recent NPR station consultation project.
